Yew Tree Barn is a converted barn built around 1810 and is located in a tranquil, secluded hamlet yet only two miles from the M20 motorway to London and the Channel ports. It offers two large bedrooms, en-suite, and which can both sleep three / four persons, and provides very flexible accommodation.
The ground-floor suite is a large double bedroom which can sleep 3 persons and has an adjoining single bedroom, which is suited to partially disabled persons. The upstairs accommodation has splendid views across open countryside, and has the benefit of another bedroom with open country views, and which can be used in conjunction with the main bedroom, if guests are willing to share the en-suite shower room. This suits larger families, or friends travelling together. We have two guest sitting rooms, one with oak beams, a wood burning stove and Sky TV, and the other, a reading room. There is also Wi-fi installed for guests who wish to access the Internet from their own laptops. All bedrooms have TV, tea and coffee making facilities. The gardens are well stocked, with over 150 types of plants and shrubs, and guests can use the garden for general relaxation. There is off the road parking, and bicycles can be stored under cover.
We were formerly English Tourist Board 4 Diamond rated, and for the second successive year have achieved the Highly Commended AA 4 Star status for 2008/2009, i.e. in the top 10% of AA 4 star ratings.
